Where do I even begin to talk about this trip, first off, Bali has to be one of my top places Ive ever seen in this world. Its filled with so much beauty, an amazing culture and the food is just bananas. Teila and I spent 8 days with an amazing crew of film makers and photographers from around the world. We went on a photo/video workshop with JACOB RIGLIN and Jeramiah Davis AKA THATONEBLONDKID. We had the time of our life and got to see some places in this world people only dream of seeing or might get a glimpse at on social media, all the boys were badasses and absolutely killed it at their craft. I was at a point in my career at the beginning of the 2018 year where I just needed a damn change, lucky for me I was gone all January and part of February traveling the world with my best friends and to come home for a quick month and take off again to Bali was exactly what I was hoping for. A trip I will never EVER forget the memories and fun times we had laughing, working, shooting, drinking is priceless. If you every question yourself wanting to do, I highly recommend it! Just hit me up if you have any questions. Photos above start with my film photos I shot on the trip of all the Fam, the rest are all of my DSLR. Enjoy the views!
Me and my boy Chris are all about a good pow day. This dude has chased more storms with me then anyone I know, we have been homies for over 10 years and have had some of the most epic sessions of our lives together. This year we scored Big Bear In late February and had the mountain to ourselves because it was dumping so hard no one could make it to town. A session I will never forget some of the funnest turns Ive ever had in Bear.
Day In the Dirt 2018 this year was one for the books, Ive been coming to this race since I was a kid, probably 10 years old was my first time getting to race the event for my first time. Almost 20 years later and Im racing it with some of my best friends. The last 3 years Ive brought home hardware and this year I took a spill a week before the event and hurt my shoulder. So this year I got to just chill and shoot photos which was nice for a change. I love the holiday seasons and Its always fun catching up with all your childhood friends and family. Thank you to Fasthouse & Redbull for putting on the fastest race in town! This is a gallery of some of my favorite images from the weekend.
Thailand was a dream, It wasn’t until I got home that I realized what that country is all about, Its so relaxed and chill, the people are incredibly nice and the food is out of this world. When I got there I thought it would be a little more fasted paced but that wasn’t the case at all. All we did for a month was go on trip advisor about 10 times a day starting right when we got up because a guys got to eat and if you know my girlfriend she’s the breakfast queen. Rent a scooter everywhere you go, don’t rent a car, traffic sucks everywhere and a scooter is the way to go to see the most of where you are at. We flew into Bangkok for a few days then took off to Chaing Mai. Probably my favorite city we went to. Theres no beaches but the land is beautiful , the city is unreal and the food is just bananas. Such an amazing place I would go back any day. After that it was island life we hit Phuket , PHI PHI , Koh Lanta and Krabi. Some of the wildest times with my best friends. If you ever want any RECS to any of these locations please let me know. Thailand is a beautiful place and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Summer 17 sometime in the afternoon, Im cruising Instagram per usual.. I come across Myspace Toms post giving away an all exclusive trip to Hawaii. Now in my generation, he's a living legend like he was all our Top1's at some point in your life if your in your early to mid 20s... I'd say a month later I get this email for hire about my photography services.. The next day I get on a phone Skype chat with the "producer" sure enough in the backround theres a man writing on a whiteboard much like his Myspace profile pic, He turns around and sure as shit its Tom. Long story short I was the first to win any of his competitions he has posted on his page ever.. I called up my GF immediately and told her we are headed to Hawaii!!! Here are some images from our trip it was def a trip of a lifetime!
Where to even begin with this one, I got Invited by SPLASHHOUSE this year to attend the wild festivities amist the HOT August heat. I jammed up late Friday night just in time for the afterparty at the Air Museum in Palm Springs which is right off the airport. As you get close to the one massive stage to your right is a 50,000 sq foot warehouse with a private bar and an awesome spot to see your favorite dj, I didn’t know many people playing Friday night so I just enjoyed it with friends and prepared to hit it hard all Saturday. Well Saturday came like that and after only a few hours of sleep I headed back over to the Sagauro Hotel from my AirBNB to get the party going! It was an insane day with the heat around 115, I was filling myself with water and beer. Favorite set of the day had to be watching Anabel Englund. Ive loved her music since she began and come to find out shes a Ventura local! The vibes were insane and overwhelming at times but overall it was a blast. Sunday was filled with good vibes and much of the same. Hope you enjoy the photos and maybe they will make you want to attend next year? =]
This Year Cole, Myself,Mikey Ojeda Ridge Benben and Griffen (GAS) set out to do something different but yet new and fun. Cole has been a good friend of mine since were were kids we grew up racing together and his style is like no one else. The dude rips on anything he touches but mainly 2 wheels. We shot a film called Grey Area which we dropped not to long ago, so go check it out on youtube by clicking here GREYAREA These are some BTS I shot from that Day. We shot from Coles in Costa Mesa all the way to the Test Track in the hills!
Most of my film right now is taken off a Minolta Film Camera my mom used when I was growing up, the other half is all taken on disposables.. Some of my greatest images are in shoe boxes in my room filled with photos from all over our planet. Here are some of my favorite shots Ive taken this past year.
Stoked to Move onto a new country after Beijing, Tokyo Japan was our next stop! Ive been dreaming of coming here exploring the city and getting to snowboard all the beautiful mountains they have to offer. We only had Tokyo for one night before we took off on a 3 hour bullet train up to Hakuba. Hakuba is a small snow town in Japan with 9 ski resorts. We had 6 days to mash as hard as we could. Some of the best snow Ive ever had in my life, turns for days and the most peaceful scenery Ive ever been in. Hitting pillow drops with all my best friends was a blast and catching untouched valleys of nothing but the dog barks coming from all the boys. After our week of shredding and hanging with 10 of my good friends it was back to Tokyo for a few nights. Tokyo is a must see, the sushi is out of this world! Although I am a huge sushi person since a very very young age and Sugarfish is a near close Tie I don't know how they do it but they do. I like to explain the city like a 24 hr New York mixed with all kinds of cultures full of bars and clubs and amazing food all night long.
Geralds 30th Birthday. It Aint Easy Being G-Eazy.
A Collection of Images I have shot from of my favorite spots around my hometown beach in Malibu CA, along with some out of the state/country.I am insured and licensed if you ever need work done. Ill constantly be updating this gallery because I love to fly my drone and get an upside down perspective on life.
Moments in time with Chris. This dude is a complete legend and works his ass off, He’s been on of my fav Djs for over a decade now and stoked we finally have connected and Im getting to work with him now. If you haven’t heard of WHATSONOT I highly suggest looking him up on any streaming platform, you won’t be disappointed!
Mammoth Mountain is a second home to me for the majority of my life. I grew up at very young age fishing and camping up here which quickly turned into racing motocross up here year around for one of the funnest races of the year.. This event is all about good times in a badass environment with even better people. The track is tucked in the hills in some of the most beautiful scenery California has to offer. Unless you are familiar with the race not many get to see this track ever or even know where it is. Here are a few shots from a great weekend in the Mountains.
Towards the end of December I linked up with friends of mine over at 24SEVENTALENT for a job with UBER for the holidays. I was asked to creatively capture 5 solid Images of what a night out on the town looks like during the holidays. My work was featured on there Instagram story over new years night. Moral of the story was as hectic as the holidays are UBER is always there for you. I want to thank my good friend Kelly for the hookup on this rad job I had a blast!
This album is just a few of my favorite cocktails Ive made at home or shot at a local or foreign bar somewhere around the world. Theres nothing better after a long hard day then a cold beverage!
I don't even know where to begin when I try to Explain what Fasthouse is/does. There are so many cool stories about this company I can tell you, but one thing I do know is that Kenny Alexander/Owner created on of the baddest moto companies this world has seen to this day! Originated as far back as our parents as teenagers racing the local races just like I did as a kid growing up. There are so many legends that stand behind Fasthouse in the industry, made up of Stuntmen, Actors, Actresses, Freestyle and Pro Moto Athletes, Flat Trackers Surfers the list goes on.. But every single one of them Athlete or not, is a damn good person. Ive been fortunate enough to share so many memories with this Company over the years, famous for the world renown race A DAY IN THE DIRT held over thanksgiving weekend. Ive shot some amazing photos with the Fasthouse Fam and can't wait to see whats to come of the brand! Check them out @thefasthouse
We started off the New Year 2017 up in Portland visiting a good friend of mine. Corey is a legend, we all grew up in pretty small towns out here in Ventura County and loved nothing more then the waves, summer vibes, and our best of friends.. There comes a times in all our lives where we don't know what to do, whats the best decision is now, where do I need to be? My favorite thing about my group of friends is that I know we all are working hard at achieving the same "realistic" goal. At the end of the day Im going to be able to call up my closest friends and travel to the most beautiful parts of our world to share memories that will last the rest of my life.. This trip to Portland and down into Williams Oregon will be one I'll never forget.
I met Taylor at the end of 2018. Super rad girl from OC, we met up and cruised Newport for a few hours and got some sick images! Check her out here @taylorBrady
A foggy morning this summer I met up with my good friend Kassy super early at like 7am to beat all the shoebees who flood the beaches all summer. At first I didnt know how well the shots were going to be on a cold morning with no sun but little did I know the shots were about to turn out insane! Even when in doubt I always tell myself to ride it out and just make it happen the best you can. And thats what I did, these shots Im super pumped on and hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Mykonos was our last stop on our Greece trip, After seeing so many beautiful islands this was definitely the place to end it. The island is fairly good size so there are many things to do and beaches to see. Check out Teilas website on place to eat and things to do here.. SHEHITSTHEROAD
My favorite things to do on any island is to first go find where we can rent scooters. Its the best way to see any island or country if you ask me, no time limits just you and wherever those 2 wheels take you. We spent 4 days at Argo Hotel and I loved every second of it. Everyday we would pretty much wake up, have breakfast, go back enjoy a bottle of Champagne and hit the road for the best beaches. The main things to do on any island is pretty much experience the food the sceneries and of course the drinks. Everyday on the islands I would eat calamari with lunch and a beer were my go too. The nightlife in Mykonos is awesome but be prepared to stay up late and wait for all the locals to meet you out at about 3am LOL. Dinners for us were usually around 10pm and after we would kill some time or take a quick puppy nap and wait till the early morning to hop a cab or bus the Little Venice where all the good bars are. Be prepared to rage until the sun peaks over the ocean which is basically last call and your on your way home for sunrise.. Be sure if you shoot sunrise down there to just watch your surroundings because there are a ton of drunks cruising around trying to find there way home!
These are some of my favorite images Ive shot over the years whenever I get to do Real Estate Photography. Its nice to switch up your routine every once and a while So I enjoy getting to see new homes and flying my drone as much as possible!
My friend Jessica and I got the chance to shoot the new summer line for Kona Brewing CO and these are some my favorite shots I got of her. I love shooting all kind of light weather its sunsets or super high blow out light, its always fun making something out of nothing when you have full creative control to do whatever you want!
Im blessed to have such amazing friends in the action sports industry. Every year Professional Skateboarder Ryan Sheckler hosts a celebrity/athlete golf tournament down in Orange County. This year I was working for Traxxas with a bunch of my close friends shooting photos and hanging out at the event. Ryan's family are some of the nicest people in the industry so its a pleasure to be apart of such a badass event. We were posted up on the 9th hole this year which is probably the best hole to be on all day. Everyone that came by didn't really know what to expect but we had a handful of Rc cars for them to mash around. Not to mention the quarter pipe ramp we brought for them to catch some serious air. This event is such a blast please check out more about it linked here Sheckler Foundation
Brand Model Agency is located in beautiful Orange County California, I reached out to them wanting to get involved and they were digging my content so the set me up with Madison and Jake. I knocked both there shoots out back to back and we all had a killer time shooting. Ive been exploring my new town lately and have had a blast shooting all new locations!
Theses are all images of beaches around the world, Ive been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most beautiful beaches and Its one of my favorite things to shoot when I first get to a new destination.
A series of time lapse shots Ive taken over the last year, being out at night creating when there not very many people in site is sometimes truly amazing.. You here nothing but natures sounds and the world changing in front of your eyes. I also love this type of shooting because its all trail and error, yes you can perfect it to a certain extent after a lot of practice but for the most part the beauty of time lapse photography is making mistake and being able to capitalize and fix them and make them your own work of art!
So if you follow me on Instagram @willynillyknowsbest you might see I post a good amount of content with lululemon.. Shoutout to my gf Teila for the hookup who has worked there and been a part of there community for the last couple years. Ive got to attend a handful of awesome experiences with there crew at some awesome venues and locations. This one in particular was at the Sports Academy in Ventura County CA. They teach the critical skills necessary to protect yourself and others. You learn the purpose, development, and proven history of the CQD system, and the Full Circle Training method they employ to teach you personal and team defense and development. Here they took the lululemon crew through a series of tests. They test your reaction times to see what your brain can really handle in an intense situation on this awesome pegboard they have as seen below. Then through about and hour of a stretch and warmup, into another room where you practice your ground tactical and defense. The final stage I dont want to say to about because its truly an awesome and much needed experience but long story short you are put in a real life situation, with protective gear of course, and have to defend yourself against the unknown. Thanks again to @SportsAcademy such an awesome training camp and letting me shoot photos! Check them out!
My girlfriend Teila and I love Big Sur, Ive only been a handful of times but every time you fall in love more and more. It is one of my favorite places on the California Coast. Theres not much to do there but theres so much to do there if your creative and into exercise basically LOL. Theres over 100 hikes to choose from and dozens of beaches that are a must see! Depending on the season certain places are better to go to than others, but once you arrive its sometimes great if your recommended better advice where to stay, where to eat, wheres not windy you get the point. During our stay we camped at Pheiffer State Park in Big Sur. This campground is amazing its very big and has a handful of beautiful campsites under the huge canopies. Book your spots out ahead of time a couple months because its always packed! Do some research or ask some friends! Feel free to email me on any travel questions you may have as well.
At the beginning of the year I flew from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia into Shanghai China after a week long job that I had a blast on. I got Into Shanghai super early at like 6am after flying overnight. Having all my luggage with me was not the most ideal in a big city by yourself, but all I could do was tell myself this is all going to be worth it as soon as Im settled in. After chilling in a few Starbucks for about 6hrs editing I was finally able to check into my airbnb. I love using there services when I travel because its a great way to meet people and find places you need to be while your there. I spent 4 days in Shanghai the last 2 of them being my birthday, one in Shanghai one in the U.S. Being alone in a foreign county where no one speaks your language is fun and interesting but tuff all at the same time but it taught me a lot what and what not to do next time.
Next I was off to Beijing to see 4 of my greatest friends! I was so excited to have people to talk to after being gone 12 days by myself. I got to the Airbnb a couple hours before the boys so I claimed my room and got all settled in making the kitchen table a mess for electronics. The subway system takes time getting used to and can be very confusing my friends carrying all there luggage and snowboards took them 2 hrs from the airport and watching them show up and see me was priceless, 3 confused puppies coming out of the underground subway. The next day we cruised all of Tiananmen Square which was pretty awesome. It was so cold in China while we were there end of January. We got to see the China Museum which was badass, and cruise all the awesome city streets Beijing had to offer. Next day we found an awesome day Charter to the Great Wall. for 100 bucks the man drove us there chilled while we hiked it for a few hours then took us home. I have to say it was the highlight of being in China. Although Shanghais cityscape at night was hard to beat, walking in the Great Wall was def on the top of my list. I had the driver take us to a more less crowded spot of the great wall and it offered a ski lift up to the wall, then after we were done it was a metal bobsled that took about 10 minutes due to foreign traffic, but with a clear path wide open 4 min no problem! I have some awesome footage of the trip and cant wait to share my videos!
While in Joshua Tree this summer I was working with a few brands and this one was called SOZY. A new startup that a friend of mine hired me to shoot for their site to get up and running. It’s looking great and Im stoked at all the rad product they are producing.
Mikaela and I have been friends for a couple years now, she was one of the first couple models I started shooting when I got my first Digital Camera when I was 20. Over the years she has grown a ton and is still killing it! She's got a super dope style and personality! Check out her work on instagram here @mikaelaosborn
Early January I took off to Malaysia for a Photo Project shooting a type of fish called the Barramundi. They are grown both on land farm and sea cages. This was a whole new experience for me and I had full creative control. I flew 17 hours from Los Angeles To Singapore, which happens to be a beautiful airport! I had a 6 hour layover there so I decided to check into a lounge for a shower and some food to kill time. Flew from Singapore into Kaula Lumpur for a week of work. I had some people from LeefishUSA with me, the company I was there working for, talking me to all the places I needed to go and see to document an awesome trip. I didn't have much free time from work but these are some shots I required that I got while I was out. Malaysia has some beautiful islands that are def worth checking out!
This Shoot was so much fun, I met the girls on a perfect day down in Laguna this February. We crushed out a sick video shoot and a few hours of photos and got some insane images Im super stoked on. Kassy and I have been friends for a few years now and we always crush it on our shoots. Check out there work here
This is Drew, We have grown up together for as long as I could remember. The days were stared going to school and watching time tick by all day followed by baseball practice or team parties or running amuck through the neighborhood. Drew and I met at the local baseball field and ended up becoming the closest and best friend I could ask for. For 10 years straight we laughed our way through our teenage years having memories that will last a lifetime, so when he asked me If I could come shoot him marry his beautiful wife Danielle there was no doubt I was in for it and so stoked he asked. Trying to shoot and watch them be as happy as they were in that moment of time was priceless with all there family watching. So grateful for my friend Drew and the relationship we've carried for 24 years!
Im fortunate enough to have some rad friends in the alcohol business that gives me opportunities like this to shoot photos all over California. With Fernet the last 2 years Ive got to work with some awesome restaurants, bars, hotels where they have hosted all kinds of events for there community all over the world. Next time your out and feeling frisky try shot or a drink!
Dang I love these DANGCHIPS! Shot some product on the beach for there new Coconut Crisps. So bomb.
